Magnetic Table
by Admin1 / April 26, 2004

Magnetized modular desk.
Winner of the fifth annual Design Report award, Jörg Gätjens' Magnetic Table has an underside covered with magnetic foil “where the necessary accessories can easily be attached to the table top or when needed put away again.”. Don’t need that pencil sharpener? Stick it under the table. The table consists of a beech or ash wood table top and two trestles. In addition, a Special Mention award went to Francisco Gomez Paz’s hand made “Apero” chaise longue. Apero is made of leather using a traditional Argentinean Gaucho technique used for making horse saddles. Other winners included Jeremy Edwards' Up Chair Down Chair and Mushroom uplighter floor lamp, Eva Schildt's Mary P. umbrella stand and Defacto.Design's Lummel chair.
