Illustrious Japanese designer + toymaker = exquisite minimalist electronics and housewares. When designer Naoto Fukazawa was at IDEO Japan, his Info.bar cell phone design created a sensation in a country that has seen its share of cell phones. Now, together with toy maker Takara, he's launched Plusminuszero for his unique brand of minimalist design applied to home electronics and 'goods' (accessories & housewares). From an LCD TV that looks like a CRT to salt and pepper shakers that look like maracas. Thank you Nobi.com for the link. Here below, a cross section of what can be found at plusminuszero.jp:
8-inch LCD TV, shaped liked a cathode ray tube.
Maracas salt and pepper shakers.
Humidifier "shaped like a drop of water adding moisture to the air".
Portable Speaker "resembles that of a capsule toy dispenser".
DVD/MD Stereo Component, the anti-component system with fewer buttons.
Oven Toaster, if the bread is square, why not the toaster?
Tile Towel, a towel that blends in with your bathroom wall.
