Alessi + Siemens = cordless phone. Siemens Mobile and Alessi have combined their efforts to produce the first telephone design by Alessi designer Stefano Giovannoni. The first of what is promised to be a “whole new generation of communication objects” from Alessi. Giovannoni’s curvy design includes the innovative use of a transparent crystal-clear layer, which bestows a quality of depth to the phone. The cordless telephone has an integrated digital answering machine, includes SMS capability, is expandable to up to six handsets from a single base station and has voice-announced caller ID. It’s available in Pearl White or Pearl Black.
