Looks like Sputnik, but it's an espresso maker. The latest coffeemaker from Germany's Saeco is called Jules. Designed by Carlo Borer, a polished steel sphere is suspended by chrome legs that have translucent ABS joints that light up in varying degrees depending on the state of the coffee brewing inside. The upper half of the sphere contains the water tank, and is removable. Coffee, hot water and steam are dispensed separately. Dimensions; 22cm in diameter, 38.5cm high, 30cm deep. Uses a proprietary Saeco coffee system and has a 1.4 liter reservoir. MSRP €900, available in Europe only.
