Its amazing what they can do with methacrylate resin these days. Sawaya & Moroni's unconventional Three-2 bookshelf is made with translucent methacrylate resin panels (available in several colors). Designed by Jakob + MacFarlane, the sinuous shape of the two meter high unit, reminiscent of a tree trunk, creates irregular stacked volumes and thus provides an interesting array of display options. Paris-based architects and designers Dominique Jakob and Brendan MacFarlane are also known for the design of the renovated Centre Pompidou restaurant.
